AptLok Launches MyAssociation: A Complete Digital Management Platform for Apartment Communities Across India
AptLok has launched MyAssociation, a comprehensive digital platform designed to transform how apartment communities and housing societies operate across India. The platform offers 14 integrated modules covering everything from resident management and financial tracking to security operations and community services.
Transforming Apartment Community Management
AptLok, a Hyderabad-based proptech startup, has officially launched MyAssociation — a comprehensive digital management platform built specifically for apartment communities, housing societies, and gated communities across India. The platform addresses the operational challenges faced by millions of residential associations by digitizing every aspect of community management into a single, unified system.
"Most apartment associations still rely on WhatsApp groups, paper registers, and Excel sheets to manage their communities," said the AptLok team. "MyAssociation changes that by giving every stakeholder — from the committee president to the newest tenant — a dedicated digital workspace."
14 Modules, One Platform
MyAssociation launches with 14 fully functional modules:
- Residents Directory — Complete member management with search by flat number, name, or mobile. Supports owners, tenants, and committee members with role-based access.
- Payments & Dues — Configure recurring maintenance charges and one-time fees. Generate dues for all members, record payments (UPI, card, cash, cheque), and waive with reasons.
- Ledger — Full receivables and expenses tracking with month-wise filtering. Committee members can add entries and view the community balance at a glance.
- Notices & Circulars — Post community announcements, AGM notices, and event updates. All members can view; committee members can create and edit.
- Complaints & Issues — File complaints with urgency levels (Normal/Urgent/Critical), complaint scope (Flat/Block/Floor/Building/Complex), and problem categories (Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and more). Committee tracks resolution with assignment and status updates.
- Visitors & Security — Pre-approve guests, generate gate passes, and maintain a visitor log. Security personnel can register visitors at the gate.
- Parking & Vehicles — Register vehicles (two-wheeler/four-wheeler), manage parking slots, and rent available spaces.
- Vacating Notices — Residents can submit vacating notices with dates and reasons. Committee confirms or cancels — creating a clear handover trail.
- My Family — List family members for gate security verification. Each flat gets a unique 4-digit security code that guards can use to verify residents.
- My Staff — Register household workers (maids, drivers, cooks) with activate/deactivate controls for easy management.
- Inventory & Assets — Track community consumables and assets with cost, quantity, maintenance flags, and purchase dates.
- Security / Watchmen — Manage security personnel with shift tracking (Day/Night/General/Live-in), employment type, manager details, attendance scoring, and the innovative Pahara Hushar night monitoring system.
- ServLok — A community-level directory of service providers across 6 trades: Carpenter, Cook, Electrician, Mason, Maid, and Plumber. Residents can add providers and call them directly.
- NariLok — A dedicated marketplace for women entrepreneurs within the community, covering 12 categories from Arts & Craft to Healthcare, Tuitions, and Food & Catering.
Role-Based Access Control
The platform implements granular permissions for committee members. Each role (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Committee Member) can be assigned specific access rights across four domains: Account Receivables, Payables, Resident Management, and Security Management. This ensures sensitive financial data is only accessible to authorized personnel.
Built for All of India
Unlike many proptech solutions limited to tier-1 cities, MyAssociation is designed to serve communities across India — from metropolitan high-rises in Hyderabad and Mumbai to small housing societies in tier-2 and tier-3 towns. The platform uses a simple AptLok Code system for onboarding: a committee member registers the society, receives a unique code, and shares it with residents who can self-join.
Pahara Hushar: Night Security Innovation
One of the standout features is Pahara Hushar (roughly translating to "Alert Guard" in Telugu), a night security monitoring system. When activated for a watchman, it triggers periodic alerts on the guard mobile between 11 PM and 5 AM. If the guard fails to respond within 2 minutes, the system retries after 5 minutes. Repeated failures are logged automatically, creating an accountability trail for night security.
What is Next
AptLok plans to launch a companion mobile app built on React Native, which will bring all MyAssociation features to Android and iOS devices. The mobile app will add biometric verification, push notifications for dues reminders, and a dedicated gate security interface for real-time visitor management.
A community marketplace module is also in development, allowing residents to buy, sell, and rent items within their community.
MyAssociation is available now at aptlok.com. Apartment associations can register for free and start managing their community digitally.
